A new oriental cuisine restaurant, Samna, opened up in the vicinity of Arsenalna metro station. It integrates the format of a restaurant and a cocktail bar, and has a great location. The gorgeous Ypsilantis Estate built in 1799 now hosts Samna in its premises.
The first hall accommodates an island bar in addition to a wardrobe and a dozen of seats. The primary focus of the island bar is to cater for the guests with the booked seats, but it also serves the entire restaurant.
The island structure of the bar is accessible for both waiters and bartenders. This significantly speeds up the service. The island bar is equipped with a cocktail station, a kegerator for craft beer cooling, a wine dispenser machine for wine bags, and a refrigerated table for soft drinks. There is also a coffee base in the adjacent area.
The restaurant's cocktail bar is located in the center of the hall on the -1 floor designated for parties and free seating. The separate peninsula-based bar offers the possibility for the guests to seat comfortably around the accessible circle. The bar is designed for the joint work of two bartenders and one barback. It is equipped with two cocktail stations, two wine coolers and two low-temperature refrigerators. Therefore, the bar can accommodate at least one full capacity of the main hall.
We also insisted on the availability of preparation and storage area for the bar needs in the operational premises. This significantly relieved the bar of labor-intensive and noisy processes deteriorating the aesthetics.
